Lagu menurut saya adalah presentasi suatu hal ~ bisa merupakan perasaan, keadaan atau benda baik yang berwujud atau kasat mata ~ dengan menggunakan nada – nada yang membentuk harmonisasi sebagai sarananya.Mengapa saya memakai kata presentasi? ~ Karena waktu sekarang mungkin kata tersebut yang cocok untuk menjelaskan maksud ulasan saya ~ arti kata presentasi disini adalah penyampaian ulasan, cerita atau paparan yang disampaikan dengan berbagai cara untuk mempengaruhi hati dan pikiran seseorang agar orang tersebut setuju dan ikut serta hanyut dalam paparan kita. Jadi tujuan dari lagu itu jelas adalah untuk mempengaruhi seseorang. Seperti sebuah profesi sales marketing, baik seorang pencipta, arranger dan pembawa lagu haruslah dapat membuat lagu yang dibuat atau dibawakannya dapat mempengaruhi hati dan pikiran seseorang hingga orang tersebut tidak sadar telah hanyut dalam lagu tersebut. Hal – hal apa saja yang dapat mempengaruhi hati dan pikiran seseorang akan kita ulas nanti di belakang.

Tahapan Lagu
Dalam proses pembuatan lagu perlu kita ketahui fase – fase atau tahapan – tahapan yang harus diketahui dan dilalui oleh seorang pencipta lagu. Ada 5 fase dalam pembuatan lagu. Fase – fase dalam pembuatan lagu adalah sebagai berikut :
Tema lagu
1. Judul lagu
2. Teks lagu
3. Nada dan chord lagu
4. Bagian – bagian lagu
Dalam realita proses pembuatan lagu fase –fase tersebut tidaklah harus dilalui secara baku, bahkan dalam prosesnya sering fase – fase tersebut dilakukan atau dilalui secara acak. Terkadang seorang pencipta lagu menciptakan nada lagu terlebih dahulu kemudian teks lagu baru kemudian tema atau judul lagunya. Ada juga yang mampu membuat tema dan judul lagu terlebih dulu kemudian teks, nada dan seterusnya.
Dalam proses pembuatan lagu mungkin lebih mudah dilalui seperti kasus pertama di atas, membuat nada lagu lebih dahulu baru kemudian tema, teks dan judulnya. Tapi bagi orang yang juga suka akan tulisan atau karya sastra, mungkin lebih suka membuat tema dan teks lagu terlebih dahulu. Bahkan ada yang membuat bagian – bagian lagu dengan cara terputus, maksudnya membuat reff terlebih dulu baru kemudian bait lagu dan seterusnya. Tergantung intuisi yang didapat pada saat itu. Pada intinya fase – fase tersebut tidak baku dan sah – sah saja apabila dilakukan secara acak.
Sebagai catatan, lagu yang dibuat secara terputus pada bagian – bagiannya dan dilanjutkan pembuatannya kemudian hari, kebanyakan lagu – lagu tersebut tidak nyambung atau tidak membentuk suatu harmoni yang bagus antara bagian – bagiannya. Misalnya antara bait dan reffnya. Mengapa bisa demikian? Karena proses pembuatan lagu sangat tergantung pada mood dan feel. Misalnya pada waktu membuat bait yang kemudian terputus secara lama kemudian dilanjutkan membuat reff kebanyakan sulit untuk mencari kembali mood dan fell yang sama pada waktu pembuatan bait. Akibatnya feel lagu tersebut tidak nyambung antara bait dengan reffnya. Sedangkan feel suatu lagu itu mempengaruhi nada, chord dan isian arransemen selanjutnya. Dan akibat selanjutnya adalah lagu yang dibuat tidak akan menjadi lagu yang bagus yang bisa mempengaruhi audience ~ walaupun dalam hal mempengaruhi audience tidak lepas dari proses arransemen, tapi lagu yang bagus juga menunjang proses arransemen yang cepat dan bagus pula .
lagu dapat disertai dengan musik pop, jazz, dan dangdut. dengan musik yang berbeda, lirik lagunya tidak berbeda dari aslinya, karena itu penulis lagu di era saat ini harus dapat menggabungkan lagu dengan tren dalam model saat ini. dengan persaingan yang cepat dari dunia musik berlomba-lomba pencipta lagu merilis album musik terbarunya dengan menggabungkan lirik dengan musik, agar pasar konsumen kompetitif.
